Chad is a Program Manager for youth engagement programs at the National Health Foundation. In this role he provides support for the Champions for Change – Healthy Communities Initiative programs and the BUILD Health Challenge at Thomas Jefferson High School and Santee Education Complex.

Chad has several years of experience in health education and promotion programs. Before joining NHF, Chad coordinated the YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program and was a health educator for a childhood obesity prevention program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. In both roles he was responsible for program deliverables that resulted in individuals and communities improving their health and well-being.

Chad has his Master of Public Health degree with a focus in community health education from CSU Long Beach and a BA in Nutrition and Health from Point Loma Nazarene University. During his time in college, Chad spent much of his free time working with the refugee community of San Diego – developing health education material for the International Rescue Committee and tutoring a refugee family from Burundi, Africa.
