Senior Cyber Health

Brief Description
Seniors do not effectively use the Internet to access health information that could help them manage their health. Government sponsored web sites have the most reliable information but are difficult to navigate; privately sponsored web sites are more user-friendly but are usually promoting products. NHF is developing a web site for seniors that provides them with easy access to the information they want. The first step in this process is to talk to the seniors themselves. The McConnell Foundation has funded NHF to conduct a series of focus groups with computer-literate seniors about their experiences accessing health information, what information they want and how they can use the internet to help manage their health and health care.
