Inventory of Performance Measures Collection & Reporting by California Hospitals

Brief Description
The National Health Foundation is conducting a statewide survey to document the performance measures being collected and publicly reported by hospitals. This survey is a collaborative effort of the California Healthcare Association, the Hospital Association of Southern California, the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California, and the Healthcare Association of San Diego & Imperial Counties. The associations want to document the extent to which their members are participating in quality measurement and reporting. They will use the survey results to more effectively advocate for increased standardization of performance measure sets, decreased collection burdens on hospitals, and more valid and meaningful hospital report cards. Funding for this project, which runs through February 2004, comes from the California HealthCare Foundation.
